Pete Backaller, SpeciBuild’s director, started in the trade as a carpenter, worked through to project management and quantity surveying, and across two decades developed a clear view of what domestic construction projects need to run well.

SpeciBuild was set up to apply that experience consistently across the kinds of projects most likely to benefit: refurbishments, extensions, listed buildings, barn conversions, HMO and flat conversions, and feasibility appraisals for investors and homeowners.

The aim is simple: reduce the stress of domestic construction for both clients and contractors, by bringing clarity, transparency and active management to every stage.
