A QS focuses on cost: feasibility estimates, take-offs, cost plans, valuations, variations. A PM focuses on delivery: programme, contractor selection, day-to-day coordination, snagging, handover. On larger projects both roles are needed; on smaller projects one person often covers both.

For most Devon domestic projects we offer the services together because the overlap is so substantial. The distinction matters most when you’re engaging part of the service rather than all of it.
