Snagging, done properly — a Tavistock cottage case study

admin

On a recent Tavistock cottage refurbishment we produced a written snagging schedule with photographs and locations, agreed a target close-out date with the contractor, and ran a follow-up inspection two weeks later. Everything was closed out cleanly within the agreed window.

The alternative — a vague conversation on completion day, with items getting added by text message for weeks afterwards — is how good projects sour at the very end. A structured snagging document protects everyone.

We follow the same process whether we managed the build or were brought in to handle handover only.
