Listed building consent in the Tamar Valley AONB

admin

The AONB designation considers landscape impact; listed building consent considers fabric impact. They are administered separately and assessed against different criteria. A scheme that satisfies one may need adjustment to satisfy the other.

Across the Tamar Valley we’ve worked with conservation officers and AONB officers in parallel on the same projects. The schemes that succeed take both perspectives seriously from the design stage rather than trying to retrofit them at submission.

Pre-application engagement with both bodies is consistently worth the time.
