Feasibility — Looking at your project at conception stage (before any drawings) to see what is viable, providing early-stage cost estimates so any proposals are realistic.

Design — Advice on planning, design and Building Regulations. Where applicable we co-ordinate the relevant consultants to ensure a smooth process.

Pricing & quoting — Detailed specification documents are issued as part of the tender pack to make sure any prices received are reliable, effectively minimising the possibility of cost changes during construction. This also enables comparative review of contractor quotes and value engineering to align with budgets.

Project management — We act as the point of contact for any contractors, so you can be reassured communication is effective and reliable. With regular meetings and reviews, the aim is to resolve problems, control costs, achieve high quality and conscientiously manage CDM health & safety requirements — making the process as stress-free as possible.

Handover — We undertake a comprehensive snagging process, manage any defects liability period, and collate all relevant documentation and certificates.

Featured Project Management Projects Lower Portington A full refurbishment of this quaint cottage and a major extension providing a large kitchen-diner and two additional bedrooms. I was the point of contact for the client (who was away for long periods of the project) overseeing a Cost Plus contract, where the client paid for materials, plant and labour at cost rates plus. The overall contract came in under the initial feasibility forecast — and while Cost Plus carries additional risk, when managed properly it can result in valuable savings. Tamar Valley Health Centres I was instructed to oversee an extension of a busy doctors’ surgery. This involved co-ordinating the relevant consultants — architect, structural engineer, ecology reports, biodiversity net gain and drainage surveys. I then produced a tender pack and acquired prices from three contractors to ensure best value for my client. I oversaw the build process and was the point of contact for all queries, including snagging, management of the defects liability period and collation of documents for the O&M manual. North Barn I undertook a full feasibility take-off for a client proposing a substantial new build, garages and landscaping, followed up with a report to highlight value engineering opportunities. While the initial figures were higher than the client had hoped, this enabled them to amend the design before applying for planning, resulting in a more efficient project where the designs and drawings were current to the build.
